Open House Virtual Meeting

Hello 2023

Hello Friends,

Firstly, Indische Verein (Indian Association) Ulm wishes you and your families a fantastic 2023!

It took us a while to connect back, as some tasks like the proper functioning of the bank account took longer than anticipated due to the documentation process. Finally, it’s all done. Due to this, the 26th of Jan Republic Day celebration could not be planned for this year. But we are looking ahead to other opportunities in 2023.

So far in 2022:

  1. Due to your tremendous enthusiasm, we had started the Verein in the last quarter of 2022. More details can be found within the Impressum.
  2. We gathered for the Swagatham event (100+ participants) ahead of Diwali.
  3. We lent hands to make Kannada Rajyotsava (200+ participants) possible to close the 2022.

What’s planned for 2023:

One of the primary mottos of this Verein is to be the connecting platform for our communities, either directly or indirectly. Cultural events and festive gatherings help us stay connected with our traditions and practices. Based upon the purpose (Zweck) which we have stated in the Statute (Satzung) of our organization (attached), we have several opportunities coming up in the form of Holi, several regional new year days (Padwa, Baisakhi, Ugadhi, Puthandu, Vishu, etc), State formation days, 15th Aug., Yoga-day, Eid, Ganesh Chathurthi, Dussehra, Garbha, Diwali, Onam, Freedom fighters days etc. that the Verein can organize or support in organizing.

Gather around:

Since we all are looking forward to many such upcoming events, lets’ work collectively to ensure all have a good time together. For this, we plan to connect with you virtually (video call) on Sunday, 29th Jan at 15:00 hours CET in order to strategize better. Please stay tuned for further communication.

Membership drive:

The Verein membership drive will be starting soon. Please stay tuned for further communication! Having (Verein) members from several communities makes it easier for the Verein to support and/or organize events with responsibility and accountability.
